If you enjoy hiking, a 25 minutes drive from Khanyakude Bed & Breakfast in Durban North, Krantzkloof Nature reserve is not only a biodiversity treasure trove in the traditional sense of flora and fauna but it also has a rich and interesting geological story to tell to the observant visitor. The reserve is based around two spectacular gorges which rivers have cut through the layer of Natal Sandstone which forms the Kloof Plateau. The two main rivers are the Molweni and Nkutu Rivers which are tributaries of the Umgeni River, which in turn flows into the Indian Ocean at Blue Lagoon. There are several different hikes and difficulties. See you at Khanyakude B&B Durban North.
